KenDragon Kennel

KenDragon Kennel, is located in Northern Ontario, a little place called Sault Ste Marie and

we are devoted to producing quality Toy Manchester Terriers. Our puppies are bred for

soundness, temperament, and health. Our dogs are members of the family. They are well

socialized, raised with family members, other dogs, and exposed to other pets.

KenDragon  is a CKC registered kennel.  I am also a member-in-good-standing of the

Canadian Kennel Club. 

KenDragon kennel was started by myself and my mother almost 15 years ago.  We

started in Shetland Sheepdogs and had the same philosophy then as I do now.  In 2002

my mother lost her battle with cancer and I made the difficult decision over the course of

the next year that I could not continue with Shelties as it hurt to much to be reminded of

mom all the time.  It was something she and I shared the love of dogs and showing them. 

However I still could not give up on dogs and dogshows completely... So with

much research and time spent pouring over websites and books, and talking to breeders,

I decided the Toy Manchester Terrier was for me!

Wow what a change from Shelties!  Going from grooming at least 4 to 5 hours a week on

my dogs to having to buy sweaters cause the Manchesters don't like the cold.  It was a

real change... However the breed is so lovable that I can forgive them the fact they have a

bigger budget for buying clothes then I do!  LOL  My old Sheltie even will let the

Manchesters stand or sit on her fur when they are outside together. Talk about funny, Jewel

treats them as her own little pack but I think she doesn't understand why they won't grow

some fur of their own!
